Description of Job: Replace Outside Air Make Up AHU, Pumps and Plate & Frame Heat Exchanger: Galgon HVAC replaced existing Outside Air Make Up AHU with new Carrier AHU equipped with cooling and heating coils, positive shut off dampers and control valves. We modified existing duct to adapt to newly installed AHU. New CHW & CW pumps were installed that had been in operation for over 45 years. These were replaced to provide reliability for the HVAC System. The installation of a new Alpha Laval Plate & Frame Heat Exchanger, control valves and piping were engineered and designed to provide an economizer cycle to building to utilize the lower outside air temperatures for cooling purposes. This has significantly lowered the buildings energy usage and extends the centrifugal chiller life. Between this installation and the prior FCU, piping and control system relacement; this building recieved the 2011 ENERGY STAR AWARD.
